Commissioned painting for the cover of the fourth novel in the American Revolution series by James Fender, titled On the Spur of Speed (UPNE, publ, 2005).   In this story Americans under Benedict Arnold build a fleet of “gundaloes,” row galleys and schooners and manage to delay the British attack on New York for the entire winter of 1777-78.
