From a photograph taken by the artist on Portugal’s southern coast, about twenty miles east of Cabo de São Vicente.  Colorful fishing boats with equally colorful names, at anchor in the morning mist.  This painting won the Board of Directors’ Award at the 7^th Annual Maritime Art Exhibit at the Coos Art Museum, Coos Bay, Oregon, in 2000.  In 2002 it was in a show titled “Marine Scenes” at the Marine Gallery in Kirkland, Washington.
